OPA211: Not working. Leaking current from input to ground

Hi there,

I was using OPA211ADIR for some DC applications, but found it was not working. So I tested it with a simple circuit, see attached. It seems that there is ~0.3mA current leaking from both inputs to ground. Any ideas about this problem?

I had tried 3 different batches of this op amp, all gave the same result.

I tried other op amps like UA741, and I did a simulation with SPICE, there was no leakage current.

Is it a problem with my circuit or the op amp? Any feedback is appreciated.

Hi Bin,

you are violating the common mode input voltage range of OPA211.

Hi Kai,

Thank you for your reply. It solved my problem. I changed the voltage supply from 0~9V to -3V~+3V, the op amp was working just fine.
