Hi people ,

I need a FSK modulator/de-modulator for the frequency range of 20Khz to 500Khz.Anybody refer me a IC with low cost.

Hi Gobinath,

For FSK modulation/demodulation, we have AFE031 PLC Analog Front End controller. However, it is BW is specified at 670kHz and full-power BW is 300kHz. This part is designed for FSK PLC application (Full power means that the part is able to drive the specific power up to 300kHz). A typical FSK Tx/Rx application is operated below 200kHz range.

If you want to use high BW, we have AFE032 PLC Analog Front End Controller, and its BW is up to 3.82MHz and full-power BW is up to 1MHz. It can do FSK, SFSK, OFDM modulation/demodulation Tx/Rx application. The unit price is higher than AFE031 IC.

BTW, <500kHz Tx/Rx PLC communication, it is considered as Narrow-Band Power-line Communication. >500kHz is considered as Broadband PLC communication in powerline.
