INA229-Q1: Low side configuration

Part Number: INA229-Q1

There is one note in the documentation indicating the INA229-Q1 can be used in a high side or a low side application.  I assume the means the current shunt can be either on the negative or positive battery terminal.   The example is a high side configuration.  Can this device be used with the shunt on the ground side of the battery?

If it is in a low side configuration the shunt negative pad is only 0.3 mm from Vbus pad on the PCB.  Is any special insulation needed between the pads.
