For testing purposes, I would not leave the output floating. I would arrange it in a unity gain buffer configuration. However, testing in unity gain buffer configuration does not yield the correct Icc. The datasheet is correct, but the model may not be accurate in the reproduction of Icc.
The TL082 does not have a thorough model (made in 1989), I would recommend using the OPA2991 which has a more recent, fully featured model. For instructions on testing op amps, I would use this document that provides detailed instructions on testing models, as well as a collection of test circuits in TINA-TI and PSpice for TI.
