OPA2991: Specific application requirement review

Part Number: OPA2991
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA2156, TLV9152

Hi,

Please find the application for sensor resistance measurement circuit in the below. Rm is the resistance to measure and Rt is temperature compensation resistance. Rt=480~600ohm; Rm=220~270ohm, R1=1K, R2=620.  Could OPA2991 replace the TS922A  in this kind of application? Or does there any other suitable op amps can do this? Thanks.

  • The OPA2991 indeed has very similar characteristics. The search function also shows TLV9152 (slightly smaller output current) and OPA2156 (higher precision but higher power usage and minimum supply voltage).

  • Hi Tess,

I think the OPA2991 is a good replacement here. Another option, like Clemens mentioned, is the TLV9152. The main difference between these devices is the supply voltage, 40V vs 16V. But there are also a few other specification difference. In general, the OPA2991 will be higher performance than the TLV9152.

    Thank you,

    Tim Claycomb
