OPA2210: Operating at -55C

Part Number: OPA2210

Hello Guys,

Good day.

Our customer got confused by the recommended operating conditions of this part. See below image. It says the operating temperature is -55C to 150C. However this device is specified to operate within -40C to 125C only.

He is looking to find out what parameters typically goes out of spec between -40C and -55C, and if there is any data you can share to the customer?

Thanks in advance!

Art

  • Hi Art,

The "Specified" OPA2210 parameters will be within their specified limit(s) for TA = –40°C to 125°C. But once the temperature falls below –40°C and onward to -55°C, or exceeds 125°C and onward to 150°C, the parameters may exceed the TA = –40°C to 125°C limits. TI does not make any assurances about what the parameter values may go to, but rather assures that the device remains operating and functional. Usually, parameters that are specified as operating to the wider temperature range don't simply fall of a cliff. They tend to continue to moving in the direction they were headed when they crossed into the operating temperature range.

Since product characterization data is deemed Company Proprietary information TI doesn't normally release it.
