Hi team,

customer is wondering if below red block will affect how much greater in magnitude the output voltage will be than the input?

    Hello Patty,

    The left side of the equation sets the gain for DC and low frequencies. Clearly the left side is greater than 1 and is constant because RF and RG are fixed value.

    The right side attenuates higher frequencies. At DC the right side is 1, as frequency increases the term falls towards zero.

    Hence the name, Low pass filter.
