LMP7300: LMP7300

Part Number: LMP7300

Hi to all,

Can I use in LMP7300 external -IN ? Not to use internal Vref = 2.048V. I know there is option to make  voltage divider to Vref= 2.048V ,however I need external votage to -IN.

Thanks.

  • Hi Stas,

I believe section 7.2 of the datasheet answers your question. The functional block diagram illustrates how the reference is independent of the comparator.

In other words, you can use an external reference. However, if you are using the hysteresis function of the device, you must use the internal 2.048V reference for that. The hysteresis of the LMP7300 is internally referenced to the 2.048V reference.

If the hysteresis inputs are taken above the 2.048V reference, the comparator can/will oscillate.

Just beware that it is not ground-sensing and the inputs must be at least 1V above GND as per the datasheet specifies in section 5.

I hope this answers your question.

    Joe
