LM158QML-SP: VOH @VCC = 5V

Hello,

The datasheet of the LM158QML does not give the Output Voltage High @+VCC = 5V. Could you give me this figure ? (Note : this is the only parameter that is not given for +VCC=5V).

The only data available is for +VCC=30V : VOH = +27V @RL = 10k.

However, a simple simulation with TINA shows a VOH = +29V @RL = 10k (see attached picture). Is there a problem with the LM158 macro ?

Hello Thibaut,

The 27V value is a minimum limit. Typical will be higher.

The VOH drive is independent of VCC voltage. The 30V minimum of 27V means up to a 3V loss is acceptable when IOH is 27V / 10k = 2.7mA

Therefore at 5V supply and a 2.7mA output current, the VOH could be as low as 2V (a 3V loss)

The LM158 that is standard in TI Tina is simple and does not match device performance in every situation.

The model and reference circuit that can be download here is more accurate.
