OPA548: current limit tolerance over temperature

Hi team,

I see the current limit tolerance at Tj=25C is +-250mA, but this device is usually heated by its power dissipation. Do we have the data that shows the tolerance when Tj is heated to temperatures like 50C,100C? I also would like to this data of OPA567.

    The OPA548 current limit function is not a precision function and variance is normal between different devices.

    The only practical way to test it in production is the High-speed test at TJ = 25°C as indicated in the datasheet. Datasheet Section 6.6, Typical Characteristics Figure 3, provides an example of typical Current Limit vs Temperature performance for the OPA548. Although we can't tell for sure from the graph information that is provided it makes sense that the curves were developed with TCASE forced. The important point seen in the graph is that the slope of the current limit vs. temperatures lines is nearly flat increasing slightly with increased temperature. Customers have been applying the datasheet current limit for over two decades and don't appear to be having issues with it.

    For the OPA567 see the Typical Characteristics graphs on Pg. 11, CURRENT LIMIT ERROR vs TEMPERATURE and CURRENT LIMIT ERROR vs OUTPUT CURRENT, and the Current Limit Accuracy section on Pg. 14.
