Hi Team,

Our customer is looking for a current sense IC that can measure up to 300A with an operating voltage of 3V to 5.5V. I used the Power Monitor Calculator to find a suitable device but it seems the recommended devices doesn't meet the 300A range. Can you please suggest a device that meets the customer's requirements?

Hello Danilo,

Are you thinking of using this with an Rshunt? The range would then depend on the Rshunt value and the gain of the Current sense amplifier. If you are looking into this and need more information on Rshunt then please see https://training.ti.com/ti-precision-labs-current-sense-amplifiers-how-choose-shunt-resistor.

The accuracy and and power low will help with the remainder for selection for the current sense amplifier as well.

If power dissipation is an issue then you could look at the DRV425 that measures magnetic field through a bus bar. This is not a accurate and has other challenges as well.
