Hello everyone,
Whats the real current consumption of this IC in operation?
Simulating a circuit on TINA, the current consumption is 19mA. On datasheet the current consumption is 0.25mA.

Leonardo

Hello Leonardo,
For current consumption, you need to measure at the power supplies rather than at the Power-Down pin.
Thank you,
Sima
Thank you for response.
The Power-Down pin needs to pulled directly on VDD? Can I add a series resistor to limit the current consumption on this pin?
Regards,
Leonardo
Hello Leonardo,
You can add a series resistor at the power-down pin, but the voltage at the pin needs to be above 2.1V to enable the amplifier. I am not too sure if current consumption from this pin is modeled here. Let me check with my team on this question, and come back to you by early next week.
Thank you,
Sima
Is true.
In datasheet the bias current of this pin is 50-500nA. But in simulation it consumes ~19mA.
Hello Leonardo,
It looks like the model does not include power-down consumption. It should be close to 0nA when connected to positive power supply (disabled) and around 500nA when connected to negative power supply (enabled).
Thank you,
Sima
