Hi,
In TRM version A (SPRUIV7A), there is ENET1_CTRL_RGMII_ID_MODE_PROXY bit in below register to select RGMII internal delay.
But the bit is disappears in TRM version B. Is this just a typo or the feature itself is removed?
Thanks and regards,
Koichiro Tashiro
Hello Koichiro Tashiro
Thank you for the query.
The provision to program the ID has been disable.
The RGMII ID is always enabled and is not timed, tested, or characterized.
Regards,
Sreenivasa
Hi Sreenivasa,
I understood the internal delay is not programmable.
But what do you mean it is always enabled, but not timed, tested, or characterized?
Customers need to use ID, but the delay value is unknown?
Thanks and regards,
Koichiro Tashiro
Hello Koichiro Tashiro
Thank you
But what do you mean it is always enabled
There is an internal delay always enabled on the TX path.
Customers need to use ID, but the delay value is unknown?
There is no exact delay value. The min delay is provided in the data sheet.

Sreenivasa
