Burn-in failure for IC MC33078P

For this batch of IC that we purchased, we burn in 840 pcs and there is failure of 10 pcs after 5 days (still counting, see attached report). Kindly advise if replacement is possible. Thanks!Burn-in failure MC33078P.docx6874.Burn-in failure MC33078P.docx

  • Eric,

For the schematic, it is risky to have op amp inputs connected directly to ground. During power up , power down, or fault conditions, VCC- may become positive. If this happens, input current can be very high.

VCC- must be never be positive relative to VCC+.

For device replacement or failure analysis, please contact your distributor to start the process.
