Part Number: LM2904-Q1

Hello,

Can you explain why it would be better to use the newly released LM2904B-Q1 in place of the older LM2904-Q1 version when selecting an amplifier for my automotive system designs? Will there be a cost difference?

Regards,

Thomas F.

  • Hello Thomas,

Yes, the LM2904B-Q1 can be used as a higher performance drop-in replacement for the LM2904-Q1 and is sold at a lower cost.

LM2904B-Q1 has many benefits over the older version LM2904-Q1. These benefits include:

    • Lower cost
    • Increased supply voltage range
    • Integrated EMI filters
    • Lower offset voltage(Vos)
    • Lower power consumption(Iq)
    • Higher ESD ratings(HBM & CDM)
    • Increased supply chain capacity

If you would like to learn more about design considerations for this family of amplifiers or more on EMI filtering please use the following links to access applications notes authored by our amplifier Subject Matter Experts (SME's).

Please see below for side by side parametric comparison between the “B” and “non-B” versions.

Thank you for your interest in TI amplifiers and our newly released LM2904B-Q1 family.
