LMH6321 is consuming more current when tab pin is connected to V- Supply.

Part Number: LMH6321

Hi,

When we  connect LMH6321 tab pin to negative rail supply(-15v).it was taking 140mA,and temperature was rising up to 40*C, when tab pin is  left unconnected it was taking 30mA only .

Can you please clarify the above issue .

  • The tab is connected to the substrate, which usually must be the most negative voltage. So the connection to V− should be correct.

Can you check continuity of the tab with all of the pins? Might this have been a soldering issue?

  • Hello Saravanan,

Can you clarify which pin you are connecting -15V to? Is it V- pin (pin4)? If so, what is the voltage supply at V+.

    Thank you,

    Sima
