LM231: conversion accuracy clarification

Part Number: LM231
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM331,

Team,

My customer has the following question:

We are looking for insight on a parameter on the LM221, LM331 datasheet.

There is a parameter in the electrical characteristics that lists the conversion accuracy for the LM221 as 0.95 to 1.05 kHz/V

We're trying to piece together the overall accuracy of the device to see if we can avoid test selection of a motor speed loop.  If we were running the device between 1Hz and 700Hz, would the design be affected by a gain error of +/-5%?

Regards,

Aaron

  • Hello Aaron,

We are attempting to clean up some older E2E forum posts that weren't answered. This was posted before we in Precision Amplifiers received responsibility for the product line that includes the LM231 VFC. Is this still relavent and does it need to be addressed? If so, I will research it.
