DRV8308 - Decelerate motor problem (Stall)

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8308

Hi everyone,

I'm currently working with the BLDC driver "DRV8308" with a motor from MotionKing.

After several hours adjusting the parameters i finally reach a good closed-loop configuration, at least is what i think...

I'm getting the LOCK condition and the speed of the motor is matching the commanded RPMs which are maintained with the load i need.

My problem appears with changes of speed! When accelerating the motor behaves great but not with deceleration.

For example: if i change speed from 2000 RPMs to 1500 RPMs the motor stall (8/10 of the times).

To make the speed changes I'm only updating the Clock Frequency to match the desired speed, is this ok or do I have do a accelerating/decelerating curve?

I also try to change some of the configurations I have but without good results, which register/s do I have to reconfigure for this deceleration's to work?

Thanks,

Tiago
