Hello team,

Could confirm that DRV8303EVM would work to drive a 80 VDC, 3 Phase BLDC Motor that is rated at 1.5 kW? or is there a better suggestion? is any other things that should be taken into account or you would need to know?

Hi Victor,

The DRV8303EVM will support 60V, 20A peak conditions. The device will work with an 80 VDC 3 Phase BLDC motor, but you will not be able to run the EVM at 80V.

We have an example of a 1 kW reference design using the DRV8303 below:

Thanks for your answer. Is there any other device/EVM that you'd recommend that would be able to run at 80 V as well as the other conditions described above?
