TPA2015D1: debugging

Part Number: TPA2015D1

1, By the diagram of the Datasheet, the distortion range is very small (less than 0.1% distortion  below 1V). In the debugging, When the output amplitude is less than 1V, distortion is more than 1%, is it normal?

2. When the output amplitude exceeds 1.4V and the voltage is boosting, the distortion is only 0.2%. After the boost is turned off, the distortion gradually increases to about 3.2%. Is it normal?

3. When the input noise 4uV,  the output of the power amplifier 35uV normal. Is it normal?

4. The following is the schematic diagram of TPA2015D1. Could you please check whether it is correct?

  • Hi Verna,

Usually all the distortion tests are taken without any kind of non-linearities. Have you tried to disable the AGC during the test? Perhaps the AGC is causing variations at the output.
Regarding schematic review, you may remove the RC components at the output of the amplifier, ferrite+cap filter is good enough.
