Hi Team,

My customer wants to use the  DRC of  TAS5508C  limit output  power ,How to configure the  DRC  parameters?

    Hi Eric

         The DRC is used to retrain the output power when the device goes beyond the threshold levels. So the customer can define the Threshold value according to their system specification at the first step. If the customer can't be sure about this value, use a resistive load to test the maximum signal levels.  As for Attack time and Release time, there's no standard answers for them. If you decrease the time, the DRC will response very quickly, but may cause beating tones. If you increase the time, the output change is more smoothly, but may go beyond the threshold level as the DRC response slowly. This value must use the customer's speaker for the final test.
