Hi,

I'm looking at PCM6360-Q1 I don't expect to use the microphone bias circuitry and the diagnostic. If I don't use these do I then need to supply HVDD and VBAT_IN? If not, should they the be left floating or connected to gnd.?

Thanks for your patience.

VBAT_IN can be shorted to ground. HVDD can be tied to AVDD of the device or it can be tied to an external source as well (up to but lesser than 10V and greater than equal to AVDD).

We use the MICBIAS block for biasing the input pins in AC coupling mode. You would lose this functionality.

I was expecting to use the "AC coupling mode". I have a 6V in my design, would it be better to supply VBAT_IN and HVDD to +6V?

Hello Gert,

You can put HVDD to 6V but you can VBAT_IN to ground just to minimize leakage current.
