TPA2015D1: has a POP sound after power on

Part Number: TPA2015D1

TPA2015D1 has a POP sound after power on, how to solve this problem?

  • Hi Verna,

You may find several posts around e2e about pop, you can follow the same approach.
    Some usual recommendations are:

    • Use differential inputs
    • Pop is usually caused by mismatch between the differential input pair
    • Use low tolerance components along the audio path, this would reduce mismatch
    • Sometimes placing resistors to GND close to coupling capacitors help with charge/discharge, which end up helping with pop
    • You may want to try different power up sequences, eg. you could first power up the input stage to the amp (if exists), then power the device while in shutdown mode, then enable the boost and at the end enable the Class-D

Let us know if you have any specific questions.
