TAS5558: Meaning of negative value(-dB) in DRC settings

     The threshold value, no matter it is negative or positive, it represents the strength of the digital signals. Usually it's value is negative because we define the maximum level is 0dBFS. The reason there's a 24 dB, is that we will give input signals -24dB headroom, for the convenience of  the turning and avoid digital clipping, you can use this headroom if necessary. But we don't suggest you to set the signal beyond 0dBFS if you are not familiar with the Gain structure in our device, it may result in clipping at the output.
