TAS6424MSQ1EVM: PurePath console always shows offline despite trying multiple EVM boards and USB cables

I've seen a few [locked] threads which seem to report an issue like this but dismiss it as corruption of the EVMs or bad USB cables. I see this issue consistently and have tried several EVM boards and many cables / ports on my computer.

Hi Scott,

I know you have tried many things, but I need to know a few things first.

Do you see the blue connect LED on the EVM? (Note there are two blue LED, one is for USB and the other is for I2S on the optical connector)
If you look in the Device Manager, so you see the USB connection to the EVM.

We will try to resolve this quickly.

I do see the blue USB LED and TI USB Audio 2.0 shows up in the device manager

Is it possible that I have the wrong console application ? Mine just says TAS6424 EVM not TAS6424MSQ1EVM which is printed in silk on the PCBs

Re-reading the documentation, I'm not seeing any connect button in the PurePath Console

In case anyone else runs into this - I have a Dell monitor that was connected to one of my PC's USB ports. IDK why but that was interfering with the TAS connection. As soon as I disconnected the monitor, I could connect to the EVM
