TPA6211A1: Low Side Current Monitor for Audio Amplifier

For this audio amplifier part number: TPA6211A1, the single-ended application circuit is shown below. If a low side sense resistor is placed between pin 7 to ground, it would just reduce the max output voltage swing right? Just want to confirm that this ground shift only effects the output and not the input. the input is still reference to ground whereas pin 7 would be some low voltage offset.

Would there be any other pre-cautions to be aware of when doing this, or is this fine for this part.
