PCM1808-Q1: About center voltage input range.

Part Number: PCM1808-Q1

Hi,

Please tell me about the center voltage input range.

The data sheet describes a minimum of 0.2Vcc and a maximum of 0.8Vcc.

Is this the range of variation of the Vref voltage built into the IC?

If this is the case, then Vref = 0.8VCC = 4V.

The absolute maximum rating of the Analog Input is about 5V at maximum, which means that the input voltage can only be 4V±1V.
Does this mean that even if I input an AC couple, I can only input up to 1Vp-p?

Best Regards,

Hirashima

  • Hello,

No Vref is equal to .5Vcc.

Center voltage refers to DC bias at input where it needs minimum of .2Vcc but max of .8Vcc

In case of nominal if Vcc = 5V. The nominal DC bias would be 2.5V and your input is 3Vpp which does not break any max ratings.

    Best Regards,

    Carson
