My customer want to design 8ch Audio system.

1. Is it possible to design with TAS5548 + TAS5342?

2. Could you provide the design guide document for TAS5548 + TAS5342?

3. What is the difference between TAS5142 and TAS5342?

1. Is it possible to design with TAS5548 + TAS5342?

Yes, you can design with TAS5548 and TAS5342. But TAS5342 is a really old device(NRND now), we don't have engineer familiar with it now. Suggest to use a new one like TAS5612LA.

2. Could you provide the design guide document for TAS5548 + TAS5342?

You can read through datasheet and EVM user guide at https://www.ti.com/product/TAS5548. there is quite limited material of these two devices.

3. What is the difference between TAS5142 and TAS5342?

TAS5342 is upgrade version based on TAS5142.

Do you recommend TAS5612LA instead of TAS5342A?

Downey,

Yes, from easier technical support perspective, TAS5614 would be recommended.

While if there is other considerations like cost impact or sourcing side, TAS5432A can still be used.
