DRV602: EN threshold

Part Number: DRV602

Hi,

May I know the EN VIH minimum and maximum value?

In datasheet, only show the typical, my customer have meet enable voltage close to the VIH typ., some device can't normal enable.

They want to know the minimum and maximum to modify design and make sure can turn on DRV602.

Thanks!

Jeff

  • Hi Jeff,

I was able to find this in some old e2e threads:

    "

The design simulation shows the following min and max over process variation -

             MIN       TYP       MAX

    VIL   38%       40%       45% (VDD)

    VIH   57%      60%       65% (VDD)

However, as you know, we do not guarantee this since it is not spec'ed in the DS.

  • Hi Ivan,

My customer used GPIO provide ~3.15V, but some chip meet can't normal enable,

    it over typ. 5 * 0.6 = 3V, but still have 10% fail rate.

    Is it normal?

Or should I create FA case?

    Thanks!

  • Hi Jeff,

Based on the information from the table, it may be expected.
Perhaps they can add some capacitance close to the pin to make sure the control signal is stable.
I'm not sure I can comment on starting FA or not, although it may not show an issue with the device.

  • Hi Ivan,

Is it possible revise datasheet and notice the maximum and minimum range?

My customer is not happy about only provide typical value let them need change design and re-layout.

    Thanks!

    Jeff

  • Hi Jeff,

Unfortunately this may not be a possible change, it would require test VT char. The data above is only acquired through design simulation.

Please notice typ specs are usually covering 1 standard deviation from it's value. some variation is expected.
