Class-D mode should be used in parallel mode, ie. the load is connected between HPL and HPR instead of single-ended from each output to GND.
Are you connecting a load during the test? or just inspecting the outputs with a scope?

I'll double check the functionality on my side, and come back with some test results by the end of the week.

The signal is input through the INL point, and the output is measure through the HPL signal (Figure 001)

Please try by configuring the device with the code from App Reference Guide section 4.6: https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/slau434a/slau434a.pdf#page=79&zoom=100,0,824

Please notice that almost at the end there is a breakpoint where the code is powering down the device, do not include that part for this test.

I tried the EVM with this configuration and I can successfully see the Class-D outputs:

I noticed the GUI is not updating all controls immediately, some controls require you to change R or L channels as well, this may be a miss functionality from the GUI.

You can try the following from GUI:

1. Connect EVM to USB
2. Execute TLV320DAC3203 GUI
3. Click on "command-line interface"
4. Paste the attached cfg code into the Command Buffer
5. Click on "Execute Command Buffer"
6. At this moment the Class-D output should be enabled.

Input is coming from PC through USB (I2S interface)
You can connect the scope to T18 and TP19.

Why can't the output of HPL and HPR PGA GAIN be adjusted?

Is there a way to modify the DAC3203_Class-D.cfg to use INL or INR input signal?

Hi Yan-Hao,

PGA Gain is for the Analog HPx outputs, thus this gain will not be applied for Class-D outputs. If you need gain control you can use DAC digital gain.

The Class-D output is basically taken from the DAC pulse train, as described in section 2.2.2.3 from this App Note, this means the data is always coming from DAC which cannot be routed from analog inputs.

When we played a digital 1kHz sine wave with a DAC, we found that a pop sound appeared. What caused this?
