TAS2110EVM: PurePath Console can't install app

Part Number: TAS2110EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS2110

I have access to PurePath and the TAS2110 app.

2 out of 3 times I hit refresh apps, the console just says "connect to the internet". I have internet. I am on a work computer, and our traffic is routed through a proxy. The fact that it does show the apps available 1 out of 3 says it is getting data though. Plus, I'd wager most of us are on work computers where they have security enforced.

Next problem, even when I see the apps, clicking install always results in an error. The spot on the progress bar changes. Sometimes it gets really really close, before I get the flash of a red messsage at the bottom saying error during install. Is there a way to install this offline?

This is pretty frustrating having to wait days to download, to now not be able to do anything. I've lost track of how many times I've clicked install hoping it would 'make it' this time.

  • Hello,

    I understand your frustration.

Is there anything specified when you receive the error message? and have you tried deleting and redownloading PPC3?

  • The error is not very descriptive:

"Problems occured during installation. Refresh Available EVM Apps before trying again." Just flashes the red box at the bottom left for a couple seconds. If you are not watching, you wouldn't even see it.

Reinstalling had no effect. Stuck the same as before. Is there anyway to offline install the apps?

  • Hello Brett,

There is no way to download it offline

Is this with just this specific EVM or you not successful in downloading any parts?

Is there any possibility that the work computer is denying permission or have you tried downloading not on that specific internet that runs through a proxy?

    Best Regards

  • My belief is that the app install process doesn't have sufficient privilege. It also isn't asking for it. So yeah, security on the computer would block it. Even if I run it 'as admin' I get stuck. The internet doesn't matter, I'm actually on my home network, but everything routes through a proxy. We use Zscaler, if that helps.

I was able to install on my personal computer, but that honestly doesn't solve the problem. Is there a log stored somewhere, or the ability to turn on a log? There must be more to the error than I am seeing.

  • Hello Brett,

I will ask about any such log with a colleague more knowledgeable on this specific software. I would also reach out for help from your TI department if you have one and see if it is indeed the proxy that is blocking completion of the installation.

  • Hello again Brett,

Unfortunately there is no specific log access that anyone seems to know about, you will need to just find a way of getting clearance to be download through the proxy, which is something unfortunately we cant really assist with.
