SRC4190-Q1: Max junction temp; other SRC part supporting 105C?

Part Number: SRC4190-Q1

Is there junction temperature rating information available for this part?

The datasheet seems to show only the operating ambient temperature rating.

Is there any similar SRC part available or in development that’s rated for 105C and auto-qualified?  Thanks.

  • Hi Alan,

the thermal information we have for this part will be limited to the D/S. and from the ti.com catalog this appears to be the only automotive qualified SRC part that we have.

This is an older part and therefore was only qualified to Grade 3 automotive -40 - 85 C.

however the junction temperature will be some amount higher than the ambient temperature listed in the d/s

  • Hi Arthur,

Is it possible to get Theta-JA info from thermal simulation, measurement, or roughly estimate it from another device in same package with similar die size and power profile?

    Thanks,
    Alan

  • Hi Alan,

I don't think I understand the motivation behind needing to know the junction temperature itself. from the application perspective if the 85C ambient temperature isn't exceeded then the junction temperature will be within an acceptable range.

    Arthur
