TPA3111D1: Fault and Shutdown Pin connection

Hi Team,

As per EVK if we connect Fault and Shutdown Pin together it will allow amplifier to self-reset after short-circuit protection event. In this case do we required any MCU GPIO connection with this pins ?

We have limitation of GPIO so is it mandatory to connect any MCU GPIO with Fault and Shutdown Pin ?

We just want to tie Shutdown and Fault pin together and no additional GPIO of MCU. Will it work ?

    Hi,

    SD and Fault pin connected together without GPIO is fine. You should add pull-up on SD pin to make device start up properly.

    Connecting to MCU will let MCU know there is fault happened on TPA3111.
