TAS5782M: Audible clicks

Part Number: TAS5782M

Hi Team,

Our customer used the TAS5782M as the core amplifier in their consumer audio hardware device but they noticed that there are audible clicks when changing EQ settings during the playback. According to our customer,

We successfully implemented the ability for the end user to change EQ settings according to his/her preference.
The loading of each register set of corresponding EQ parameter settings is done from playback software via Linux driver.
However, when changing EQ settings during the playback we observe audible clicks that are not part of reproduced material.

In the E2E thread below, it is suggested to mute the output signal to avoid the pop noise on the speaker, however, muting / unmuting during EQ change is not an acceptable user experience as per our customer.

Do we have alternative solution to this audible click issue?

Regards,

Danilo
