TAS5828MEVM: The TAS5828mevm cannot be connected to the USB port on my computer.

It has been nearly a month since I purchased TAS5828mevm, and I used it normally yesterday, which can help me adjust EQ online, but when I used it again this morning, I could not connect it with my computer, and it was the same with the other two computers I replaced. I also tried to unplug J27,J28 and J29, and sometimes I could connect to the computer.However, when I received the I2C connection on my stereo, it was disconnected from the computer again during the initialization. Please tell me how to solve this problem, thank you!

can you help take a photo of board when you connecting with board.

we can confirm whether USB light is on. also we can know the connecting status of your board.

btw, does your ppc3 can flash the initial code to the board sucessfully?

you can read below several registers to confirm what error might happen.

0x68, 0x70, 71, 72, 73

1. At present, after the development board is connected to the computer, the D2 indicator light is very dark, and normally it is bright, but the USB is not recognized.

2 On the PPC3 tool, the connection characters cannot be seen, which should be caused by the failure to recognize the USB device, so the register-related data of 0X68,0X70, 71,72,73 cannot be seen;

From the description, seems the problem may caused by power supply on the board, or sometimes the USB wire may also cause similar results.

Please try with other USB wire.

Also check the 5V, 3.3V, 1.8V, and 1V on the board, if they are all no problem.

If changing the USB wire also doesn't work, it should be the XMOS device damaged. Sorry that we may not able to help about it. Usually we may need to send I2C from outside to continue using. Or request for new EVM.
