TAS2505: TAS2505 is not responding with acknowledge.

Hi,

We are using audio amplifier TAS2505 with sitara am5718. The connections for audio amplifier is shown as follows:

MCLK is 25Mhz. We are sending i2c address as 0x30 with write bit 0 , register address as 0x00 and value is 0x00 through i2c interface, We have observed that acknowledge is always high. Why the i2c slave is not responding to the data. We have also given an external reset then also it is not responding. Please guide me where i am doing wrong.

    Hi,

    Perhaps the pull-up on the I2C lines is too strong for TAS2505-Q1 to drive it low?
    TCA9802 spec says there is an internal current source, so you may try removing R366 and R367 and check if it helps.

    I2S clocks are not related to I2C interface so you should at least be able to read and write registers regardless of MCLK.
