PCM3793A: If register 0x4A is set to monaural differential, will HPOL and HPOR sound the same?

Part Number: PCM3793A

If register 0x4A is set to monaural differential, will HPOL and HPOR sound the same?

HPOL is Powered UP at Register 0x49 and HPOR is Powered Down & Mute at Register 0x41, but the same sound comes out from HPOL and HPOR.

What's the problem?
Please help.Thank you.

  • In monaural differential, the -ve signal is coning from HPCOM which does not have volume control.

See the other thread for the signal path and datasheet page 17.

You can use scope to capture the HP and HPCOM to confirm they are differential signal.

You can combine the thread into 1.
