I am using TAS5722L which is an i2s-input amplifier. I can change the gain by register-setting over i2c. However a minimum gain ramp rate of 0.25dB per sample applies. I need the gain change to be much faster. Is there a way to defeat the gain ramp and make an instantaneous change in gain?
If the gain ramp cannot be defeated on TAS5722, could you recommend another i2s class-D amplifier chip with similar power which supports instantaneous gain change?
