TAS5760M-Q1: Load diagnostic

Hi TI team,

We have requirement for class D audio amplifier for automotive application.

It should driver x2 5W, 8 ohm speakers.
Audio type Stereo.
Also, it should support load diagnostics

TAS5760MTDAPQ1 , meets above first 2 requirement; but it doesn't support load diagnostics. Can you please suggest a suitable cost effective suitable solution?

We could consider TAS6422, or use two piece TAS5431.

Hi Shadow,

TAS5431 cannot be used in our application since it is Mono class D Amplifier with analog input.

In TAS6422 datasheet no information is available related to driving 8 ohm speaker (design consideration). Can you guide us on this?

TAS6422E has no problem to drive 8ohm load, needn't worry about it.
