TPA3144D2: LIMRATE/GAIN/LIMTHERS pin setting

Part Number: TPA3144D2

Hi team,

1. Our usage scenario has two speakers 2W/8Ω, THD+N 10%.

2. In the above usage scenario, what is the minimum voltage of PVCC and AVCC of TPA3144D2PWPR? How to configure the resistor value of LIMRATE/GAIN/LIMTHERS pin?

Thanks

Lillian

  • Hi Lillian

For 10% THD, could use PVCC/AVCC voltage as sinewave peak directly to calculate power on your load. It should get you 5.7V as minimum.

Gain setting is decided how much input voltage customer want to give. Use Gain = 20*log*(Vout/Vin) to calculate.

And if customer want to use 5.7V PVCC/AVCC directly, no need to use PLIMIT function. For higher supply voltage, could according to below picture to decide.
