TAS3251: Exact throughout time from I2S to analog

Hello,

I'm a looking for the exact through-out time from I2S to analog, in number of samples or in µs for a given samplerate.

We integrated that DAC in an audio chain used for computing audio delay compensation, and we need to know how many samples the DAC needs for anti-aliasing FIR, buffer and/or conversion, in order to subtract it from the final measurement.

Hi Donny,

I would like to know the sample numbers so it doesn't depend on the used I2S sample rate.

Our project will work at 44.1kHz, 48kHz, 88.2kHz and 96kHz, with a fixed bclk ratio of 64.

The delay data is not totally fixed for this device.

By default settings, 48KHz would have 25 samples delay. 96KHz would have 17 samples delay. And if you used more functions, the data may still have some changes.

Hi Shadow,

Thank you for your answer. We use the default values which are the 2.0 standard processing from my understanding, with the minimum signal processing possible. So we should be at the smallest delay.
