TAS5630 SE

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5630

Hello,

My application needs a 4 channel @ 2 ohms amplifier, with the possibility to wire the amp to work in btl mode at 4 ohms load.

Is it possible to use a split power supply or other means to avoid using large capacitors in the output in single ended configuration?

Thanks.

Fabiano

  • Fabiano, I'm sorry, but it is not practical to use TAS5630 with split supply.

    - The inputs are ground referenced, so it is not feasible to have them referred to a negative power supply voltage.

    - The heatsink must be connected to the heat slug and to PCB ground, but with negative supply the heat slug would be biased toward that supply.

    Best regards,

    Steve.
