Hi Team,

This is my 1st time to use the device. I would like to know how to bring up the EVM board.

I have installed the GUI from ti.com and I plan to use analog sine wave from laptop first to let the device output the corresponding SPKP/SPKM. I would like to know some precautions about using the board.

I just use mini-USB connecting to laptop and use GUI to adjust the parameter and play music from laptop?

    Hi Roy,

    Your description is correct. USB is used to power the whole EVM. When EVM is connected to PC and GUI is open, it automatically initializes the device, then you can change the device configuration using the GUI controls. Audio playback is through USB as well as it works as any other soundcard.

    For speaker connection, you should just use SPKxP and SPKxM,
    L and R are shorted together with the 0Ohm resistors on the bottom layer. This EVM is shared across DAC3100, DAC3101 and DAC3120 so there's different mono/stereo options.
