OPA1633: Looking for a Mono Headphone Amp

Hi team,

My customer is looking for a headphone amp for their new gaming headset application.

Could you recommend an AMP which fits below customer's requirements? I've already checked our TPA61xx series. But they were all stereos. So I wondered if there was a solution in OpAMPs.

  • Mono
  • Supply voltage: 3.3V
  • Input: Differential
  • Output power: 100mW @ 32Ohm
  • smaller than (4.5mm x 4.5mm)

    Hi Jay,

    Op amps like the OPA1633 are typically used as a preamplifier stage for an application specific speaker amplifier stage if the signal needs any kind of conditioning or gaining before being input into a speaker amp. Based on your question, I am under the assumption that you are looking for a speaker amplifier and do not need a preamplifier stage. 

    TI offers speaker amps that are used in mono applications. I have included a link that has a filtered list of mono speaker amps that may fit your application need:

    These amplifiers are covered by a different team and I do not have the expertise to speak on specifics to these devices. If you have specific questions about a specific device in that list, I recommend opening a new E2E thread for that device.
