TAS6424L-Q1: TDM format setting check

Part Number: TAS6424L-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS6424E

Hi team,

Customer use 2 pcs TAS6424E, 48kHz, 32bit, 8 ch audio signal.

I see in another post, it mention, need to set 0x03 register to 0x44. This set input format as I2S mode. Could you help confirm this is the correct setting? Why TDM format need to use I2S format setting?

Thanks and best Regards,

Will

  • Hi Will

I should say this is some description inaccuracy in the datasheet. The internal circuit, b'100 actually have the same deal method as b'101, which is our commonly used format, no matter it's I2S or TDM. And b'110  will have the same deal method with b'000, which would cause problem.

So please continue using b'100, I2S selection.
