PCM5122: The details of the registers

Part Number: PCM5122

Hi team,

May I know the deails of these registers?

Best regards,

Shunsuke Yamamoto

  • Shun-San,

Most of the images show register settings for the modes and coefficients of different features of the DAC. Each feature could be required for different applications.

The ones mentioned in this thread:

    • Stereo multiplexer input coefficient:

this feature selects one or two from 4 stereo input channels.

    • Mono mixer coefficient:

this feature weighs the sum of 2 input channels and produces an output.

    • Miscellaneous coefficient:

these are supporting registers for other features the DAC provides like DRC and average volume control.

    • DRC coefficient :

this feature increases the input signal gain to make it sound louder, and reduces the gain during peaks to avoid hard clipping. There are register coefficients to control this feature in table 22 of the DS.

Most of the details of the features these registers control can be found in the datasheet depending on your application.

    Regards,

    Ore.
