TAS2781: DREG voltage range

Part Number: TAS2781

Hi team,

Customer is testing TAS2781 in their application.

And they find that the DREG pin voltage measure as below

Measurement(V)
Min	Typ	Max
1.589	1.601	1.61

Compare with our parameter table, their measured result is beyond the max value, could you help check why this happen?

What's the normal value of this voltage?

Hi Arthur,

Customer feedback the above value is measured when music is on;

while when there is no music, the value is 1.305V average, 1.332V peak, 1.283V min;

Please help check if customer found is normal.

Hi Will,

Confirmed with design team. this device behavior is normal. we will make update to this error in datasheet.

"Typical DREG when audio is playing is 1.6V. This is expected.

When the device is in software shutdown mode and no I2C transactions are happening then DREG LDO will be in low power mode which is around ~1.2V."

Was the customer having a problem when they where looking at this voltage?

Hi Arthur,

Customer is doing validation, they are testing and then checking the spec to verify if their result is OK.

So need a spec as standard. What customer see under no music state is 1.3V for average, could you help comment if this is OK?

And could you help list the spec range under different working stats?

Hi will,

1.3V is OK. The DREG LDO is tested and trimmed during production. There is no need for the customer to check it manually
