TLV320AIC3120EVM-U: SLAC366 ACEV-1A EVM Software showing EVM Status: Communication Error

Hi,

I am evaluating TLV320AIC3120EVM-U, I connected it to the PC and can see that the Windows device manager recognized the EVM.

Started SLAC366 ACEV-1A EVM Software (https://www.ti.com/tool/download/SLAC366/01.00.00.0A), it didn't detect the EVM and showed "EVM Status: Communication Error".

How can I resolve this issue?

Hi Anesh,

A couple of things to try,

1) Run the GUI in administrator mode

2) If that doesn't work, go into device manager and "forget" the EVM. Uninstall the GUI, restart the computer and then redo the install.

If those don't work, can you tell me if you are using Windows 10 or 11 and do the two LEDs on the EVM light up when it is plugged into the PC?

Hi Jeff,

I can confirm EVM works on Windows 10 effortlessly. I will try the 1 and 2 steps and confirm whether that works or not.
