OPA1662: OPA1662

Part Number: OPA1662

Tool/software:

Hello,

I am working with the OPA1662 and would like to clarify something in the datasheet. When one looks at the short circuit current of +/- 50 mA @ +/-15V, the note "One channel at a time" is referenced.

In the dual package, if one has a single op-amp providing a positive current of 40 mA and the other op-amp provides a negative current of 40 mA to the same load, from the same dual package - would one be in violation of this single channel note? Or does the fact that the currents are symmetrical and of opposite polarity somehow keep one from violating this specification?

To me, I would assume both rails are pulling power, and it would indeed be in violation.

Thank you,

Nick
