LM4991: Work well at Ri=3.9kohms, Rf=6.2kohms, RL(Speaker)=32ohms and VDD=5V?

Part Number: LM4991
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM4818

Tool/software:

Hello,

My customer is considering to use one of LM4991MA/NOPB, LM4818MX/NOPB, LM4864M/NOPB, LM4862M/NOPB or LM4861M/NOPB.
At the application circuits on the datasheet, they would like Ri=3.9kohms, Rf=6.2kohms, RL(Speaker)=32ohms and VDD=5V.
Does TI think that all above five speaker amps work with no issues under their desired conditions?

Best regards,

K.Hirano

  • Hi Kazuhiko,

All five of the speaker amplifiers will work under their desired conditions. They all support VDD = 5V, the specified RL, and Ri and Rf can be adjusted to the customer's preference. However, one thing to note is that for the LM4818, there is a decoupling capacitor on both the Bypass and the IN+ pin while the other amplifiers use only a single shared decoupling capacitor for the two pins.

    Thanks,

    Sam
